GI Sheet

Galvanized Steel (GI) plain sheets are produced in the same way as MS sheets but they go through a further step of galvanizing, where the surfaces of the sheets are coated with a thin layer of zinc, in order to protect the sheets from corrosion. GI sheets are generally thinner than MS sheets as their advantage over MS sheets is mostly a cosmetic one. They are mostly utilized for their appearance, in places where rust must be prevented.
